Datanla Waterfall: Things to do, Prices & Tips to travel 2020

Dalanta Waterfall is one of the must-see destinations in Dalat. This is known as a charming tourist destination with abundant water throughout the year. The water stream is relatively stable, not as noisy as other waterfalls.

The waterfall ‘s height is up to 20 meters. The lower part of the waterfall has clear water all year round, thus, the locals here call it as“ fairy stream”. Especially in the tourist area, there is also a deep hole,  locally known as the death zone of Datanla Waterfall in Dalat. Datanla Waterfall is located in the middle of the Prenn pass, about 10 km from the center of Dalat city. The road leads to Dalanta Waterfall from the center is the most beautiful pass due to thousands of flowers along the road, and two vast pine forest on the two sides of the road.

Dalanta Waterfall in Dalat opens from 7:30 AM to 17:00 every day. If you want to have a gala or a private event here, you can contact Datanla Management Dept for permission. 

Datanla Admission Fee:

Adult: 30,000 / Person.

Children: 15,000 VND 

If you want to try the longest forest slide in Vietnam, you can purchase a round trip ticket. 

For visitors who want to take part in the slide. You can join the purchase of a sliding ticket for 150,000 VND with a round trip ticket. This is the fare applied for the longest forest skid system in Vietnam.

  • High Rope Course

This activity in Dalanta Waterfall is suitable for all ages. There are 7 different activities areas (yellow – green – orange – blue – red – black) designed for specific participants of all ages with varying levels of difficulty. 

It was so so challenging and adventurous especially the zip line part. It was so tiring but exciting! There has staff that will provide you the simple training at first so no worry it is safe to try this activity. There is a 2-hour time limit to complete all the levels. There are a lot of zip lines on the course, a few go back and forth over the valley so you can see amazing views! You won’t regret trying this activity and buy it from here as the ticket is much cheaper and you can easily redeem it in the entrance counter.


  • Datanla Waterfall Canyoneering

Datanla Waterfall in Dalat is a majestic seven-story waterfall. The water is always clear and cool. The flow of the waterfall pours through granite slits and then silently bounces down the large slates, creating beautiful bubbles of water. Hidden in the morning sun is a beautiful rainbow bridge. Embarking on an immersive adventure through the Datanla Waterfall as you make your way around the lush forests in the area is an amazing experience. 

Strap on a harness, secure your life jacket and start off with an 18m rappel down to the river where you’ll be clipped onto a rappelling line that will lead you to the forest. The next part of the course will find you sliding down rocks and into gentle rapids, where you’ll float along before rappelling once again down a 25m waterfall. Towards the end of the activity, get ready to jump down another waterfall at 7m high and finally conquering the course with a rappel down the thrilling 13m high Washing Machine waterfalls. 

Trying Datanla Waterfall requires hard work and it tests your abilities but what you come away with is a feeling that you have achieved something. The guide really looks after you with a professional outfit, with good humor, friendly banter and makes you feel at ease. The ticket price for kayaking is a bit high, 800,000 VND per person but it is really worth it a try.

To get to the Datanla waterfall is very easy. But there is a pass section so visitors should drive slowly because this pass is very winding. The path is so beautiful with flowers and pine trees along the sides. 

Avoid the mountain pass when it rains because the road is very slippery.
