Hoi An itinerary – Day 1:
Hoi An Ancient Town is only 30km from Da Nang city, it only takes about 30 minutes from Danang Airport to Hoi An.
After you arrive in Danang, take a taxi or hire a private transfer from Danang Airport to Hoi An.
Considered one of the specialties of Hoi An, Hoi An chicken rice has captured the hearts of many visitors every time they come here. Start your holiday in Hoi An with a delicious chicken rice dish, to fuel up the trip. The rice is cooked with chicken fat so it has an attractive golden color, is served with shredded chicken salad, sour papaya, little fish sauce. Simple as it seems, but you will regret if you miss it.
After fueling up, head to your hotel. There are many beautiful hotels and resorts in Hoi An. You can choose to stay in the center of the town or near the beaches.
Take a short rest after the flight, the first destination will be Hoi An town center.. Take a leisurely stroll on every corner of the old town, enjoy street food, buy souvenirs and feel the tranquil atmosphere here.
Faifo is a lovely coffee shop located on the bustling Tran Phu street. The shop is located in an old house. Sitting on the rooftop, you can see the whole old town, this is considered the most beautiful place to watch the sunset in Hoi An.

Hoi An Itinerary – Day 2
There is wide a range of interesting things to do in Hoi An beside the beautiful old town. With only 2 days in Hoi An, you can choose either one of the following activities or you have more than 2 days, you can combine them to have in-depth experience in Hoi An.
Option 1: My Son Sanctuary – Banh My Phuong – Lantern Making Class – Cua Dai Beach
My Son Sanctuary – UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a great sample of the ancient Champa civilization located in the southern part of Vietnam.
The impressive Hindu-themed ruins feature many beautiful stone sculptures, temples, and towers in tropical jungle surroundings. The best time to visit is early in the morning as it offers cooler temperatures and smaller crowds. You can either opt for a day tour to My Son Hindu Sanctuary or rent a motorcycle if you prefer exploring at your own pace.
After visiting My Son Sanctuary, head back to Hoi An Town and have lunch with the famous Banh My Phuong. Crispy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. They are so tasty & so cheap 20,000 VND (less than $1 people!). Do not forget to buy a soya cup to enjoy with the bread.
In the afternoon, you can choose a lantern making class or book yourself a cooking class.
And then head to Cua Dai Beach
Option 2: Cham Island
Cham Island is 15 km from Hoi An Ancient Town. Their turquoise waters provide visitors with snorkeling, diving and fishing opportunities, along with many powdery sand beaches to choose from. The Cham Islands themselves are home to a number of small historical sights.
The Cham Islands are a cluster of eight islets just off the coast of Hoi An, one of which is a protected marine park where you can enjoy a day of snorkeling or scuba diving.
Option 3: Cycling to Hoi An Village

The village is located in the Thanh Ha ward of Quang Nam province, just off one of the tributaries of the Thu Bon River. You will see all sorts of pottery in various stages of production, stacked sometimes five feet high by the entrances. The craftsmen and women here create all sorts of decorative work and pottery such as cups, jars, bowls, pots and the like.
